good acronyms. it means that there is something unexpected that occurs. It usually implies that whatever it is may be a challenge to overcome, but that's not always the case. An example would be taking a roadtrip and encoutering an unexpected detour. The detour would be snaful because it causes an unexpected detour from your route.
