Is an endless discussion, but i will attempt to do it anyway. Its explain why people makes choices and ultimately how society is govern by these choices ( I will leave out the details) Ex, opportunity cost, maximize profit, minimize cost, equlibrium, tax, income, supply & demand, GDP, STD (jk) so many ways that it affected us.

Locke is right your question is to wide. People could spend hours and write down multiple pages trying to answer your question and still is not enough to answer it completelly. You have to be specific and let us know which effects do you want to know because it has effected the world in multiple things.
