My almost 6 month old has a temperature of about 94.1. She's very cold feeling and clammy. It's been about an even 78 in our apartment and she's dressed warmly, fed and changed. What could be the problem? Do we have anything to worry about? She hasn't been exposed to anything really cold.

She's really fussy and won't go to sleep, but we took it through one of those ear ones. She's feeling cold to the touch. It goes up and down between 96.6 and 94.1. It's about 11:50pm right now and the on-call nurse won't answer her phone.

Her temperature has gone back up to normal and her doctor said that she's okay but to watch her cuz if it was to go on for 2 or 3 days then she'd need to be seen. So for now I'm a little more relaxed. Thanks to those of you who cared and tried to help.

Babys are extremely unpredictable when it comes to health. A sign of low temperature could be a sign of something wrong. You never said the method of how you are taking the temperature. Either way, take the baby to the doctor and get her checked out.

Please get off the computer and call the doctor. We are not doctors. If I suspect anything wrong with my child I would not be getting opinions online. I would be trying to get an opinion from a doctor.

If your taking her temperature via armpit, then you add a degree. Otherwise I suggest maybe contacting your pediatrician.

go to the emergency room now. you don't want to take any chances. if you are worried about the cost or feeling stupid about it, call ahead, talk to ER staff, and see what they have to say about it.

where are you taking her temp?
have you taken yours as a kind of comparison?
I'd retake her temp - maybe get a rectal thermometer.
