I wouldn't put it on your lap if i were you. There's studies going out that the heat from the laptop could cause a lesser sperm count. But you're a girl so it doesn't apply.

In general, computers heat up when their memory is working hard. If you have it laying on your legs with no book, or anything in between, that could be VERY serious for your laptop. The moisture from your legs (even if you're wearing long pants) can get into the laptop and damage your computer. I would put it down on a desk... and if you haven't turned it off for a while or if it's been on all day, maybe even shut it down for an hour or so to help it cool down (if you have a dell, there's also been some recalls on certain batteries that have caused fires, FYI)

Because it's on. It's normal for laptops to be warm, sometimes really warm.

Hmm. you should keep it elevated. Like tilted off a book or something for circulation.

You must have used it a lot.
Switch it off for 2 hours, and then see.
I am sure it will work.
