I wrote a small book. Sme people who read it said it would make a good movie. I don't know who to send it to.

get it published as a book first. The reader will decide.

you'd better publish it first. that's my opinion... Copy-protect it and send it to a publisher. if he accepts to publish it without taking money from you (because he/she is sure about its sales) then publish it. Otherwise send to someone else. If you want to make it a movie you got to find an agent or a director.. i'm not sure..

or participate any writing competition.. It'll work

Wow, way to go! That's quite an accomplishment. Well...good for you! That's determination, and self-discipline. I'm curious now, and wondering if it is your first book and of course, fact or fiction. Thanks for sharing.
