okay i have to show on my poster "what is social studies". my teacher gave us all these things that means social studies and she gave us an example. she drew a flower and on each leaf she wrote what was social studies. i need ideas!! i wanna draw a flower but we can't do that. what else could i do?? HELP!

You could draw a palm tree and write on each palm what you feel is social studies

Don't teachers always just have the best answers! Maybe you could draw the flower but use the root as opposed to using the leaves. I would also suggest the tree branches or draw the flower and use the pedals instead of leaves. There isn't to many choices. The only problem with that is the teachers see it as a lack of creativity. You must start projects earlier if possible so you will have time to plan this out and ask more people for suggestions.

Draw an image displaying the time period you're trying to explain. And under each image have a concise write up on that period. The images can be people or machines or buidings or boats or cars on roads, etc. So you gotta have it tomorrow, I remember those days, good luck.

You could draw a map of the United States - Just the outline and maybe shade the interior accordingly. Then write your answers across the map.

How about this...draw a tree and each branch represents another section. Or how about people each representing a part of our past......Lincoln, Martin Luther King Jr. , etc....Good Luck!

A spider, has a main point, the body and eight sub points the legs. and if you wanted to add more details, use a web at each leg!
