If you are exclusively breastfeeding it can hold off your period for as long as you nurse. You can still get pregnant in this time however, so it is not wise to forego birth control just because you are nursing. Didn't you have a six week apointment with your OB/Gyn? If you did he/she would have been able to tell if you were pregnant. If not, you can take a pregnancy test, or set up an apointment with your doctor. You can get pregnant as early as 21 days after giving birth, but this is very traumatic for your body and certainly your sanity lol, so in that respect I hope you are not. Good Luck..Take care of yourself and your baby..

Many women don't have a period until they stop breastfeeding. I breastfed for six months and never had my period. Of course, as soon as I stopped, I got pregnant within the month, even though I was on the pill. So, be smart.
If you are breastfeeding, you can take the mini-pill for contraceptive- it's estrogen only and won't hurt your breastmilk. This pill has to be taken at the EXACT same time every day, though, so it is not always a good plan for a sleep-deprived new mom. My doctor has recommended the Nuva Ring or the new IUDs (that are hormone-based, not copper) because these are lower-dose options.
Talk to your doctor and get yourself on some protection. If your doctor says you can have sex (which you're usually cleared for at 6 weeks) then be smart and do something to prevent an unwanted pregnancy.

Well, it depends. If you are breastfeeding, then your period could be delayed for up to one year.
If you are not breastfeeding, then you probably should have had a period by 6 weeks. As long as you were healed and had stopped birth bleeding.
Either way, you should go to the doctor. You should have been to the doctor last week (at 6 weeks postpartum) for your check up and to see if everything has healed. This is when the doctor will give you an 'OK' for sex or not. And this is when he will talk to you about birth control, to prevent pregnancy, which should not take place for at least a year after giving birth. Your body need time to get back into shape and heal before putting it through another nine months of growing another baby.
Go and get a check up, talk with your doctor.
For your sake ... I hope your not pregnant agian so soon. Your body is not ready, and neither are you.

You could get pregnant so soon but usually your period doesnt come back if you are breast feeding. Make sure you are not having unprotected sex even though you are not getting your period because it could be the month that you start ovulating again and you wouldnt even know it. You are more likely to get pregnant faster after just having a baby and it is not good for you or the baby if you were to get pregnant right away. Professionals now say that you should wait at least 18 months after giving birth to get pregnant again.

If you are breastfeeding it could take longer to get your period. I breastfed for 14 months and didn't get my period until 15 months after my baby was born. It is possible to get pregnant that soon after. You are supposed to wait six weeks or until your doctor gives you the go ahead to have sex again so your body can properly heal. I would buy some cheap pregnancy tests to kep on hand just to ease your mind.

if you are breastfeeding it can take over a year to start. if not it can still take months for your body to recover. just be sure to use protection from now on, just because there is no period doesnt mean you cant get pregnant.....oh and it is okay to have sex 6 weeks not months after having a baby, so just be careful......
