You address them for what they are - just feelings, not fate, not destiny. Then you act like an adult, and remove yourself from the situation which is causing the temptation. Then you talk to someone, preferably a counselor, and figure out why you were tempted in the first place.

You have already accepted the fact you are doing something destructive. Confide in someone you trust, let them help you.

Somehow, I know where your coming from.

We all have thoughts and feelings about things that we know are "not acceptable"............the thing is, you KNOW they are not acceptable. That is good.

Ask God to help you with these feelings.

You seem like you know right from wrong.....that means that you are ok. If these feelings are bothering you because you feel bad for feeling them, ask the Lord to remove them from you. To help you with them. And just remember.......
We ALL have things inside our brains that we know that we should not share. That is the "free will" that God gave us. Knowing when to act on them or not to is the key........and for mental and spiritual peace, go to the Lord......run to him......He is always waiting for you.

God Bless.

By distracting yourself with other things.
Try not to dwell on it as much as possible.
Stay away from temptation.
An ounce of prevention is equal to a pound of cure.

Feelings don't come with "shoulds" or shouldn'ts". You either have them or you don't. What you shouldn't do is act on them. That, at least, is within your control.
