You can look for a job as soon as you take your state board test, they are not to hard. I was working as a cna off and on thru my schooling and then full time as soon as the class was over. But it is differant in each state. Some jobs only need to see you passed the class and have the boards lined up and some want the boards done first. It is so easy to get a cna job that is a job in great need. I loved it very much and loved working with the elderly and post Op the most. I miss it very much. Good luck

do u mean u r at this time taking the course? Ask the instructor. Where I live you can work and train at the same time because hospitals and nursing homes are desperate for help. Please know it is a very hard job giving total bed baths and cleaning up people who have no bowel or bladder control, and you never get caught up. The work is constant.
