I come with yet another car question. Today i test drove a 85 monte carlo. Car drove beautifully except when i brake, theres sort of a rumble on the front left side. When not braking the car is perfectly fine. Does this sound like a warped rotor or somethin worse.
Thanks,
Mcgee

if the rotor is warped the car will shake when applying the brakes if it is just a noise you are hearing then the brake pads are worn into the rivets and are probably scratching the rotor pretty bad

in case you have a shake interior the steerage wheel while braking, you have got rust develop on the hub which develop into no longer wiped clean adequate. The rotor would be ****** ensuing interior the shake you sense. Fasten the rotor on the hub utilising the lug nuts without putting the wheel on. Spin the rotor by hand to be sure there is no run out or wobble.

it could be the rotor or some other brake componet like the caliber.

bad caliper - possibly a bad rotor or just worn/ glazed brake.
