I think it's great....there are alot of foreign players these days and them breaking records just spreads the game around the world. I am a personal fan of Ichiro so i might be biased!

considering that more than half of all the players in MLB are foreign born, i fail to see how it is possible to have a problem with it. in 30-40 years, there may not be a single record that is held by an american, except for maybe Cal Ripken's consecutive games played

I don't see why there would even be contraversy. If the guys can play ball, they can play ball. If it weren't for out of country players, we would be watching baseball with half the excitement. Where would baseball be without the ortizs, and ichiros, and the pujols?

It is okay with me. There are a few, and the number will grow, foreign born in the HOF. Roberto Clemente and Tony Perez are 2 that I can think of at the top of my head. I think Tony Perez had a couple of records for awhile, but I cannot remember what they were.

I heard this talked about on the radio the other day, there arent as many kids in this country interested in baseball like the other sports, when it comes down to it they would rather play the other.
