Throwing salt over my left shoulder if I spill it to ward off the devil.
My mom used to do this, and i do it to honor her memory, because I don't believe in it at all.

Read fortune cookies and astrological forecasts. Its amazing how most of them can be applied to your circumstances. Broad terms, generalized results, and the use of words with more than one type of meaning seem to make for the best ones.
One of my favorites. "A happy event will occur within your household!"
Sure hope so.

Walk under ladders: I avoid doing that. You never know if someone may "accidentally" drop something on me.....a clear sign of my bad luck.

When I was being taught to drive, the teacher would always make me shift from park to drive before putting it in reverse (if we had to back out). His theory was that we should always look forward in life and not back. LOL!!!! Being the dumb kid I was I believed him. Somehow it stuck with me. LOL!!! LOL!!! LOL!!!
