Lucky 4 you, you have XP : )
The first thing you do is go to Windows Explorer (not Internet). It should be in the accesories in the start menu...Drag all the pictures you want to whereever your CDRW is located. For example, you probably have seen locations with a label like this. C: or D: or My Computer. Yours is most likley E: or D: . Then, if it is the right place, hold down your mouse, and drag over all the files, RIGHT click, and there will be something about burning to a CD.

Go to "My Computer" and select "folders" so that you will be able to see a tree on the left side of the window. Now find or create the folder that you want to copy the pictures to. With that folder visible on the left, select the CD drive, select the pictures to copy, contrtol A to select all. Then click and hold the mouse button down while dragging across to the desired folder. By default, the photos will be copied, if you are concerned however, click and drag with the right mouse button and select "copy".

open your favorite picture editor.
then place your cd with the pics on it into your read-only drive.
then press start > my computer.
then locate the drive letter which you have your cd in, which would not be the c:\, a:\ drives, but something else.
click on that drive and your pictures on the cd SHOULD open into your favorite picture editor. else, a window will come up asking you how you want to open them. be sure to study your options, since your favorite picture editor is probably on the list.
click on the choice you make, then click on either explore or open (the default). but you MAY wish to explore them to see, via thumbnail view, if you do not want a few of them copied to your hard drive.
if you want all of them, select all of them. usually you can do that with Edit > Select All.
then in your window, you should see "copy" to [a place on your hard drive]. this means that you are copying the entire "folder" of pictures that exist on the cd.
then go to my documents, my pictures. float your mouse on the top bar. look for "make new folder." make one, name it anything you want.
COPY the selected pictures (if all, then the entire folder of the pics on your cd) to the folder that you just created inside of my pictures.
if your picture editor uses import, then import them to the folder you chose, but be sure to read about "import" and "export" before doing this. copying them is easier.

open my computer with the cd in the player. Find the cd player in my computer. open it, copy any files you want, paste them in your computer somewhere you desire such as my pics! As far as ME knowing what I am doing, I think YOU should know what you are doing! After YOU learn, you might teach Norton a little reading and comprehension!
