I dont think I'm pregnant, but I am curious. When people say its common to have a period in early pregnancy, is this ever an actual period, or is it implantation bleeding and spotting MISTAKEN for a period?

You can not have a period when you are pregnant because you only have a period when the egg was not fertilized and then is disposed of along with the lining of the uterus. You can have bleeding throughout pregnancy from a variety of things. Early spotting could be implantation bleeding.

It is possible but not necessarily common for women to have regular periods throughout their pregnancies. Most of the time, if a woman is knowingly pregnant and starts to bleed it is a sign of trouble with the pregnancy.

You must test your pregnancy by yourself,by immersing a sensitive tool to your urine. If it showed a positive sign you are pregnant and if it is negative you are still non pregnant. But for sure, you are better go to a specialist doctor a gynaecology. If you have a period during your pregnancy, that is a sign of bleeding and spotting, you must call for a doctor as soon as possible.

if you are pregnant then you should not be bleeding like a normal period you should only be spotting a little bit of blood and it should not last as long as a normal period.if you are pregnant and you are bleeding like a normal period then you may have miscarried and need to seek medical attention

You can have bleeding, but it's not a period if you're pregnant.

Yea, you spot early in your pregnancy, but if it gets too heavy and last too long, you should see a Doctor.
