Methinks you generalize too much.

you know i used to work at a bar from 11am to 7 pm and i was the only one working there during those times. I had no manager cause i was the day manager so to speak. Well i find myself to be quite attractive and one day i was attacked by a man with some big issues. Luckily i had some trusted friends there who helped me over come this. well, when i went to the manager and the Regional manager about this and told them that i am a pretty person and probably shouldn't open teh doors to the bar until i know someone walking in the door, they said well, it has nothing to do with you being pretty and told me no, i had to open up at 11 no matter what. but, lets say a (not to be man, but you asked the question) really ugly girl was working that day, do you think the guy would have acted the same way?????

It is the perception of the individual to discern beauty. Many rape and molestation victims are quite young, or senior citizens, too. What you may be considering as beauty may be photos of victims who are readily smiling and seemingly innocent.

It often seems that naivitee may accompany the abuser's profile of victims. But not always.

What it seems you are describing is the "impossible dream" syndrome. Ted Bundy suffered from it. Many male abusers target women whom they deem are "out of their league" to victimize. There are many beautiful women who would consider the abuser attractive, but because of a low sense of self esteem, he does not, and therefore targets them.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. It is not a curse, but often an advantage of those it is given. It can also be a lax excuse for being shallow and a bubblehead. But ALWAYS no means no, regardless of your physical endowment.

well, I'm gonna say this from an Islamic Perspective
Women are supposed to be beautiful, okay? God created them to be that way. But, he also said to hide your beauty, which is why Muslim women cover their head and hide their body.
THis is not opression, this is a way for protection, when they hide their beauty in public, they keep away prying eyes. Men whom you don't want looking at you, can't look at you w/o your permission. Also, it give women freedom in public and froma professional stand point, people take you more seriously and don't bother you.

Guys, this also helps you out because you can rest comforatble knowing that your lady isn't on other men's minds, she just yours.

unfortunately, around the streets here, theres never a gaurantee that women are safe against rape.

It's not a crime to be beautiful but it's a crime to rape someone. Those rapists would rape anyone if they feel like it. The best thing for those women to do is to earn people's respect by make something out of themselves and stay safe.

First of all your premise is false.

Beautiful AND women who are considered 'less' than beautiful are raped, molested, murdered abused and treated as garbage. Most of the victims that I have seen photographs of are not all that 'beautiful'.

But to answer your question, beauty becomes a curse when one begins to think that they are superior to others because of their 'beauty'; vanity and conceit make the most beautiful person petty, ugly and to be pitied.

Rape and molestation aren't done because of 'prettiness'. It's all about control. Beauty becomes a curse when a person's sense of being is based on looks. Shallow too.

Ugh, thats annoying when guys just want or are going out with someone who is pretty, well wait. I mean, like they are ONLY going out with them cause they are pretty, they only care about their looks and yeah. Also they just treat them like crap. Also with all these rapes, i mean, i always saw it as guys just rape whoever.

Noone deserves to be treated badly, but most of the guys with girlfriend at my school still do it, which is kind of sad and frustrating. Well i love my girlfriend very much for who she is not how she looks, so yeah.

Don't want to debate your remarks right now, so many points of view ...
but to answer your question i think beauty becomes a curse when women want to be more beautiful than what they already are.. like the one that said 'mirror mirror on the wall...'
when one is beautiful one should not lose sight of all the other beautiful things around...but appreciate them.

Happens all the time. Unattractive women are raped too though. If you're too pretty, every insecure woman around thinks you're after her old man - like you'd want the old coot! Give me a break.
