It's a shade plant but doesn't like the indoors - too dry I think. If need to keep inside then place by door or window. In winter try to find a spot away from the heat vents which can be drying.
I keep mine outside right by my back door under an eave. It gets some direct sun in the evening, but other than that is in the shade. Completely saturate the pot with water every 3-4 weeks unless your's is in those shallow pots then probably once a week. Test by feeling the difference in weight when dry vs saturated.

Mine always wilts and withers towards the end of the month. But on the first of every month, it springs back to life and is so lush and green! I wish I knew the secret.
