We need to bring real metal back to the masses again, What's with all of these new "metalcore" and "screamo" scenes taking over the television? No offense to anyone but I mean, I respect all of the MTV play finally for heavier music, but why don't they play the real music more often, and not like 1 video out of the 20 screamo ones?... I think its time to send a letter to MTV2 about this problem...opinions?

Yeah truthfully I'm an extreme old school metalhead, but I am sure that there are many other people who want to bring back the same stuff I do.

Amen, brother of metal...or whatever the unholy equivalent of "amen" would be. My sentiments exactly.
VH1 Classic does have a metal video show, "Metal Mania" that sometimes has some incredible sh*t in it. My ex used to religiously DVR it and watch and re-watch the good videos obsessively. Thankfully he would weed through all the crap so I could watch the decent ones. Check it out as there are some true jewels in the dungheap.
Honestly though, what I wouldn't give for a rebirth of the real "Headbanger's Ball".

remember when the M in MTV used to stand for music? that was cool. they can barely bring themselves to play videos, let alone dedicate a whole show to one genre.
HBB was cool back then.

Hellz yeah, I can not stand what they play now. Remember the days with Ricky Rachtman, those were the real headbangin' days.
