Could it happen? They are considered "undead" yet they are alive! They have the life-giving force within them....blood, just like everyone else! With that in mind, would they act the same or different from normal people. Use any version of a vampire you want in determing your answer. I say they can get high. They can even smoke regular cigarettes, but would they get lung cancer?

I would say they can get high, because they obviously have a functioning brain and blood flowing. I would think they would be immune to cancer because vampires don't need fresh cells to continue living. If you give cancer to a dead body, does the dead body's function change in any way? Of course, I suppose it's all up to the author. Hell, a vampire has gotten AIDS before(Sucker! The Vampire).

this is in basic terms a e book! on occasion, you haters are even worse than the fangirls. I comprehend that consistent with danger it would not deliver out each and all of the main remarkable messages yet no person is going to take it actually(and in the event that they do, nicely, that they had it coming anyhow, in the event that they would be that idiotic). I mean heavily, vampires and werewolves do no longer exist. this could be a paintings of fiction. stop analyzing into it so actually. additionally, attempting to cajole people to hate some thing they like isn't honest. and you all spend lots time ranting and criticizing Twilight, which you probably don't comprehend the failings or stricken meanings at the back of the books you celebrate with. And ultimately, this question has been asked a million cases. Use the quest bar, please :)

Most people think of the modern novel's version, or worse, Hollywood's version of what a vampire is supposed to be. In general, this is based on the creature as described in Eastern Europe.

• A reanimated corpse that is believed to rise from the grave at night to suck the blood of sleeping people.

Such a creature was a corpse, vacated by the original soul inhabiting it, and reanimated by a possessing (often demonic) spirit. This was in a time when it was often thought that the blood was the physical vessel of the soul — if you let all of the blood out of a creature, it died.

The vampire, as a possessed corpse, did not have any life processes, drinking the blood of its victim served to allow the possessing spirit to consume the victim's soul. (As even ambulatory corpses do not have heartbeats, hence, no circulation, no blood flow of any sort.)

With a vampire from folklore, the short answer to your question would be "No." With those from books & movie, sure, let 'em knock themselves out.

I don't think that they would get high because they are paranormal creatures ( their powers wouldn't let them..) and they don't have living bodies. Cancer would also not affect their bodies because it's dead. But if cancer messes with blood too, than it might affect them somehow,if it matters that vampires NOT get tainted blood,if diseased blood does anything. BUT I don't think they would get sick like a person would because Vampires are no longer " among the living".

So people ask question that can be answered by them just thinking about what they are saying...... The answer to your question is no, how can the dead get high. First off their lungs don't work because they are DEAD. NO drugs can enter their blood stream because their HEARTS are not beating. and how can the DEAD get cancer. that is a new one.............. So all you had to do is start thinking and you would have come up with the same conclusion..................................

I think they'd be kind of nervous around heat sources or flames to light cigarettes seeing as how fires one of the few ways to kill off a vampire.

They would get lung cancer but it would be perminant. It wouldn't go away and wouldn't kill them.

Also, they would get high but would need something stronger than marijuana and the high would last longer than in a normal person. Other things could get them high also like certain milks.

I assume you mean the dead men walking, not psychic vampires. Regarding the former, why would they? As for the latter, they do all the time.
