Yes, same as I consider catholics or protestants. Regardless of their ascendancy...Italian, German, Russian or Afghans. This country was build by people coming from all parts of the planet and they wrote a Constitution for us guaranteeing freedom of religion for all. If we forget that... we will be forgetting the very principles that are the foundation of our nation. "One nation under God, indivisible with honor and justice for ALL".

If they are born & raised in America, they are 'real' Americans.
The Constitutation of the United States -Amendments to the Constitution - Article XIV Section 1 says that all those born in the United States and subject to its laws are citizens of the nation & of the state where they live.
By the way, I am a Christian, not a Muslim. Anyone born in this country is a 'real' American regardless of race, color, creed, religion...got the idea?

I consider American Indians to be the 'real Americans'. Everybody else came here from across an ocean and are immigrants or descendents of immigrants,,, and muslims are in that group,,, even if they were born here. But then,, they are just as 'American' as Irish Catholics, or ScotchIrish Protestants, or Russian Jews, or, Afro-Americans, or Hindus from India, or Buddhists from Tibet, or atheists, or any of the other members of whatever group came here since Columbus, or Pilgrims, et al.

Well, yeah. Anyone born and raised in America is a real American, unless they're planning treason. Changing religion is not an act of treason.

Why wouldn't they be? America is supposed to be a melting pot. The only original people were the Indians.
Everyone else is from somwhere else.
People who are born there deserve to be considered American.

I don't see why not...they have the same rights as anyone else does. Not only that Islam is just a religion and part of a culture not a total sense of identity...
