He is a loser, he is worse than her ex, and both my husband and I have tried so hard to like him, but we just can't. I don't want to ruin my friend's life, but I'm afraid if he comes over again my husband is going to beat the snot out of him.

Just tell her how you feel about him and listen to what she says to say. Then hopefully you both can come to a solution.

If she is prone to have shorter term relationships, you could choose to meet with your friend somewhere other than your home. This would work for a while in case she decides to end her relationship with him and would prevent you from having to potentially offend her.
Unfortunately, if it looks as though he is there to stay and your feelings about him still have not changed, then eventually you will need to confront her. Perhaps explain to her what is making you and your husband upset or uncomfortable and ask if she could plan her visits to your home alone. It will sting for her to hear that, but if she does respect you as her friend, she should be able to respect your feelings and leave her boyfriend home.

i bet if you let your husband beat the **** out of him he'llnever want to come back again. you gotta really have a good reason you don't like this guy, be real specific and tell your friend how you feel and maybe she'll understand but if she doesn't then you might lose a good friend

If she's your best friend... then you should be able to come out and just tell her. She should understand. Just let her KNOW why and maybe if YOU can handle it... you three (her, the BF, and you) could go out somewhere on the town and not in ur house with ur hubby. ?? ... But yeah just come out and tell her, BEFORE trouble starts. It's the best thing to do. And if she has a problem with that, then you at least know that you tried to be nice and you did your best. :)

There is no nice way to do this but I think you should do it regardless. You need to sit your friend down and have a heart to heart about her new boyfriend, making it totally clear that you dislike him so strongly that you will never allow him to darken your door again. That at least should bring home to her the strength of your feelings and might even jolt her to her senses.

Say her that the fellow isn't really bad, but he's changed her nature for the worse, and she'll draw right conclusion.

explain to her that you and your husband don't feel comfortable having him around and that you need for her not to bring him to your house.if she does not understand that then shes not really your friend.as for your husband if he's really looking to beat him up just because he doesnt like him maybe you should wqtch your husband and your so called friend closely.
