Yes that is disturbing. I'm a parent know and a homophobic, but I hope I never get to be like that. Don't get me wrong I'm an ******** but you can't help who you love.

Too many do, and that's why groups like the Point Foundation exist. It pays for college for LGBT teens whose parents won't support them.

But many parents *are* very supportive. Some are in groups like Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays. (http://www.pflag.org) Some just love their kids.
And I would say the majority, from what I hear, is in the middle--loves their kids, but aren't thrilled about what (or who!) they do. My mom would be in that group.

not really..some do and some don't depends on how the parents think of the situation..I got a friend who found out that her daughter was like that..and she said that she don't approve of it, and that she know that that daughter wasn't going to give her any grandkids, but she said that I rather deal with my child in that situation then to not deal with her at all

Mine didn't they are great, very interested in my life nothing has changed at all.
BUT a lot do. And even worse a lot don't fully diown them they just judge and critisize (sp? sorry!) them constantly!
