It might, but it will also eat holes in your plumbing if you have any metal pipes anywhere. If that happens you will have sewage spilling out into you subfloor or crawl space and be looking at hundreds of dollars to re-plumb the house.

Don't use acids for removing blockages, use bases. Buy some caustic soda from the local hardware store and use that.

If its clogged by something the it can dissolve. I'd hold it reserve as a last resort though. Try some normal drain openers and plunging first.

No, i in basic terms sparkling mine manually. on occasion I even have used a plunger or an auger. on occasion I actually are starting to be rid of the p-catch. on occasion in the bathing room sink I might desire to take the pop-up stopper out and sparkling off each and all of the nasty scumy hairballs that have twisted up on it. not only clear the pipes,,,,but it'll eat them and you'll be paying a real plummer to replace them,,,,,,,,,,try sprinkling a generous amount of baking soda in the drain,,,then pour vinegar on it,,,,,works everytime

No,dont use it.Its dangerous to you and any galvanised pipes.Use caustic soda and be careful with that too.
