well there is a defined space that is considered to be the universe by scientists, I dont thni it has a top or bottom. I think u are asking what is outside the universe, and I dont thni kthere is a invisible wall at the end of "our" universe, in fact if u believe the big bang theroy there could be a infinite number of universes in space, since there technically is no beggining or end to space. So if u want to what space is it is 1 hydrogen atom per cubic inch of volume(basically nothing its a vacuum).
Also things arent floating in the universe they are held in place by gravity but the universe as a whole possibly could be wandering around space maybe even under the effect of gravity from other extremely large objects that are just beyond the reach of any mapping equipment on earth today.

The universes are floating halfway in like large universal oceans. The planets keep hanging out there only by Lord Krishna's (or God's) willpower. Read the Bhagavad Gita and the Srimad Bhagavatam for more specifics.

You're thinking that the Universe has a North Arrow pointing Up...Its just space with Billions of galaxies moving away from the center.

the term "under" cannot exist in space. neither can right left up or down. on earth, there is an up/down because of gravity. but how can there be up/down in space.
I can tell you that quasars are at the EDGE of the universe
the radio waves they admit are several times that of our galaxy which means they are the original particles of the big bang speeding away from the center...wherever that is

Yeah, you've got it all figured out The universe is floating in a giant bathtub, and when God gets bored with it, she will pull the plug and .... bye-bye universe!

There's no top or bottom to the universe! It's in an endless vacuum.

If you can answer this question, you will be famous and have your name go down in history with Einstein and Newton and Galileo.

IMHO we are "floating" in an 11th dimensional sea of hypodimensional strings ;-)

First define "up" and"down" in terms of universe...and we'll get you an answer.
ie. there is no top/bottom of the universe
