buy an aerobics tape, they are fun and easy and you're not the only one doing it! aerobics are great for losing weight, all the crunches in the world will give you muscle but they won't burn off the fat covering those muscles. I have a bellydancing aerobics DVD by Kathy Smith that is cool - try looking on eBay for this where you can get it pretty cheap - like 7 or 8 dollars. Or try anything that appeals to you!

the common misconception most women get is if you do a million crunches you loose your stomach. this is not true in fact you'll be building up muscle underneath the fat and can even make you look thicker. muscle also weighs heavier than fat. concentrate on increasing your metabolism.mountain biking is my personal fave. you need to work on your body as a whole to achieve this. some starters for major muscle groups is light squats. reps are what you want to worry about 15+. not weight. light dumbbell press for chest (don't worry your NOT going to look like a guy). rowing and mix in some kick boxing. i think everyone should know some kind of self defense. this should get you started.
PS. mp3 player with fast paced music is essential..good luck.

Crunches will be the best things to do. I used to have a beer belly myself and then my son told me to do crunches and now I have abs of steel. But that was with the help of the Ab Lounge. You can go get that at Sports Authority or JC Penny or something and it costs less than $90.

Aerobic excercises. Running or fast walking. As long as you burn more calories than you ingest each day, you will lose fat. Add weights to increase your strength and raise your metabolism...that way when you go to sleep at night, you will be burning more calories in sleep than you do with a lower metabolism.
