Why? Because neocons give America what they call 'rational irrationality'. This is the kind of benefit of the doubt you give to someone who looks a little crazy. You might step aside and let them pass because you just never know what they might do.
This policy is what caused Libya to reform after years of being a pain in the butt. They were concerned that Bush just might 'do it'.
Sure neocons are blamed for failed wars in Afghanistan and Iraq but would anyone really let Afghanistan go unpunished after 9/11?...and who knows what Iraq had cooking...remember all those UN nuclear inspectors who were refused access to facilities? If everything was on the up and up, why didn't Saddam permit the inspections? In 1990, Saddam hid his air force in Iran. There are reports that this time around he hid his WMDs in Syria.
Lastly, what is the alternative to striking Iran? An Iran with nukes?...led by a guy so Anti-American?

BushCo.'s War of Pre-emption, had the exact opposite of what it intended to do. Iran now has nuclear cpapbilities and North Korea has the technology to reach out and touch us. They just need to get the bugs worked out.
As for the failures in Afghanistan and Iraq, well, they were warned. We never finished what we set out to do there, which was find OBL and destroy the Taliban. Now the Taliban control roughly 1/3 of the country, and Afghanistan is now the leader in the production of opium. And the government of "Afghanistan" or Kabul as the rest of the world calls it, has to keep coming over here to beg for funds.
Turning our attention to Iraq, the Bush administration bought into the lies that the INC had been trying to sell for years. One of the reasons why Clinton didn't act on it, was the reliability of the organization. As for the WMDs being in Syria, that's laughable. Consider that the Administration, speaking through Rumsfeld, kept saying they knew exactly where the stockpiles were even as we marched into Baghdad. The so-called mobile WMD labs were confirmed by the manufacturer to be nothing more than weather ballon facilities. And the so-called stockpiles that have been found so far, even the White House has come out and said that these were not the WMDs that we went to war for.
As for Sadam hiding his Air Force in Iran, he never got them back. They became property of Iran.
As for keeping us safe, that's laughable. All a neocon has done is pissed off more muslims and turned Iraq into a training ground.

you will read a lot of ignorant chant for the demonuts who cant read past the liberal talking points. I for one do think Syria is involved in the hiding of Saddam's weapons. I believe some time in the future weapons will be found buried in Iraq. If we could fight this war as a war and not some politically correct police action, we would have ended this years ago.

I am thankful to them. If more people were we could go in and finish giving Iraq the chance for freedom and deal with Iran.
Right now we are in trouble and about the only thing that is going to fix it is Iran getting and using a nuke.
