i am talking about cell phone dealers. just wondering. i work for nextel, and get a lot of phone calls where the dealer lied to the person saying the phone can do this, when it can't.

Alot of companies are slacking at hiring smart sales people that know there stuff. And for someone like me who applies at these places cant get in but when you go to these stores thay have retards working for them. Alot of people are in it for the joy of decieving people and people like me whos honest to customers cant get in. Anyways, I once had a expierence. I went to the Cingular store and the guy in there, he was a lil slow in the ol noggin, but anyways he told me that the phone didnt come with a SIM card and it couldnt use it or something. Hello, Cingular phones run on a SIM card. So I dont kno, best advice for people so they dont get screwed is to do there research before hand. Go to Cnet.com and read there reviews.

Everyone has their ups and downs whether its from a Dealer or from a corporate store. I personally work for a Large Nationwide dealer and we focus on nothing but customer service. That is why we do anywhere from 400 to 600 new activations a month just on pure referrals. Yea ill admit that there are a few dealers out there that are out to make a quick buck but at the same time there are a lot of Direct locations that dont have the best customer service and lack the necessary skills to do their best. Id say 25% of our customers are from people coming from Direct Locations that didnt get either noticed or the lack of customer service and the sales rep not willing to help.

well, they have, I've been lied to, and only when I get an honest person right at a store do I get satisfaction...so you are taking the heat for the policies of certain cell phone companies who have lied to their customers...and you know last year that the most disreputable people in all of sales were cell phone reps, and cell companies were rated lowest in terms of customer service, because everyone wants/needs a cell phone...for the time being that is...until the next wave of telecom booms...so I don't blame you, but you could have opted for a more reputable job...like a telemarketer
