Hydrochloric acid is really a good solvent for cleaning purposes besides this it has many uses and advantages
1.In manufacturing saline bottles or official waters chloride test is a must so HCl is used as the key reagent for the test for chlorides, evolution of greenish yellow gas with HCl confirms the chloride content.
2.Conc.HCl is used for cleaning glasswares and iron tubes if any dust or stainings or any sticking materials are present
3.Conc.HCl along with Conc.HF is used to treat paper so as to decrese the ash value of paper mainly the filter papers used in gravimetric analysis
4.Hydrochloric acid is used in making HCl buffers
5.HCl is the key solvent in the determination of various anions and cations but after sufuric acid

It is usually used ini simple chemistry experiments since it is the most common acid found in the laboratory. Hydrochloric Acid (HCl) is used for pickling metal. Pickling is a process where metals are submerged in HCl to remove any foreign bodies in the surface ofthe metal, as well as any rust (Fe2O3) forming in the surface.

HCL supplementation can be used for people who have a hard time digesting their food due to low stomach acid. A good way to find out if you have to much or not enough stomach acid is to take a tbsp. of apple cider vinegar and swallow it. If if gives you relief then you don't have enough stomach acid. If it makes heartburn worse then you have too much and you need an antacid. Look at your health food store for betaine Hydrochloride. (HCL)
