A little bit in the middle of your chest is usually uncovered. Some plunge bras only cover the lower half.

most bras don't cover the whole breast area, there's usually some part of your boobs that are exposed. you should worry about whether the bra has good support and looks good under whatever you're wearing over it. if you're wearing a shirt with a low neckline, then you don't want a bra that covers everything. if you're wearing a plain T-shirt, then you may feel more comfortable in a bra that covers more

It really depends on your size. Women with fuller figures do better with more coverage and support. Demi Bras are more sexy, but usually have a seam. T-Shirt Bras are supposed to give you smoother coverage without any visible seams in the cup. Typically it has medium coverage, more than a demi bra but less than a full support bra.

there are different types of cups for bras. the bra that doesnt cover the whole breast is called a moon cup bra, this is usually used for blouses or shirts that has a low neckline.

I say as long as the bra covers under the breast all the way around to your nipple then it is fine.
