Hope this helps!

I hate homework...but, I love art.
For me art is something that touches you deep in your soul - and is felt with your heart. Art provokes thought, wonder, and inspiration.
Art is an abstraction of media formed to create a concept that humans can appreciate on a wide variety of levels.

thats a great question...

the process of discovery to that question can have a life altering experience:)

there is so much to that question...

nobody has really been able to "define" art...but there are great works written on that topic...

i just recommended these books to someone a while ago..

some of the finest books written on art...

"what is art?" by leo tolstoy

"necessity of art" by ernst fischer

"the meaning of art" by herbert read

do read these books sometime if you are interested in art...

but do not keep your mind confined to the insight gained out of these books though...

you could read the great works of art...by the sorts like shakespeare, homer, oscar wilde, kafka, tolstoy, dostovsky, tagore etc
