Yep.. my x husband and i both have really dark brown eyes, and our son was born with blue eyes.. (my father and my sister have blue eyes) so it was something passed through the genes.. and my son looks identical to his dad all but the hair and eyes.. my x has dark brown almost black hair, and brown eyes, my son has sandy brown color hair and blue eyes, so although the features are the same, my son's coloring came from my fathers side..

Yes, childeren can be born with brown eyes, if the parents had hazel or even blue. My daughter has hazel blue green eyes. Like the carribean ocean...no kidding........they are beautiful. I will tell you , i have brown and so does her farther. This can happen because of the genetic genes that get passed down . There has to be a match from the man and woman even if the match is in the ancestory of the gene pool...........so if your grandmother had brown eyes and the mom's great grandmother had brown eye's then there is a match in the gene pool of genetics and there fore it is possible for that baby to get those brown eyes because from both sides if the family there were brown eyes.....................
i hope this helps..................

Hi! unfortunately, I don't have the indepth bioligical knowledge on how our genetics work. But from what I have heard and read and seen, when a child is born, the major genes are of course from the parents, however, it is proven that the genetical strands of the baby can be traced even back to the baby's tenth generation ancestors. And any one of these genes can bring forth complexions, characteristics and physicalities in us that are in no way related directly to our parents. Based on this, it is a possibility that the child can be born with brown eyes even though it's a rare possibility! But I think it is possible.

yes they can! From my very limited understanding of dominant and recessive genes, hazel is not a gene colour in its own right. Both the green and brown eye colour genes are dominant and therefore combine to make hazel. If both you and your husband have hazel eyes, then you both passed on your brown eye colour gene to your baby. Your next babay may have brown, hazel or green eyes!

Yes they can. Hazel isn't actually its own gene. It's simply a mutation of the brown gene. Two hazel genes are actually the same as two brown genes. Hazel is simply a SHADE of brown. Don't worry about paternity!

Absolutely - not only brown but there is a chance that you they can have a child with blue eyes too! Genes are not only carried on from the birth parents, but from their parents as well. Same goes with the color of ones' hair.

of course its possible. If the baby has brown eyes chances are that someone in daddys family (mother, father even grandparents) are of brown eye decendent. My daughter is half black/white with brown eyes, father of her baby has hazel green eyes, baby is blonde hair/ blue eyes. His mother has blue eyes.

Yes.. Children do not always look similar to either one or the other parent.. I have blue eyes.. My mom has hazel, my father brown.
I took after her dad.
I also have a daughter that looks like my husbands mom.
She has bright red hair like her.. I have dark blond, my husbands is light blond.

I would assume so considering my mother has dark brown eyes, my father has bright blue, & I have dark green! If youre doubting paternity, get a dna test to reassure yourself!
