Lately when we have gas in the car it ends up dieing somehow and doesn't want to start for a few minutes, then starts again. The fuel filter is new, it has oil I'm pretty sure, new heads and head gaskets. Why is it dieing like this? I put a gallon in today to drive it around the corner and it died on me. I don't know what it could be. Could it be fuel injectors, fuel pump...what????

Many of the late model fuel injection cars from 1985 an up have a safety built in so when the battery voltage goes below 9 1/2 to 10 volts the computer shuts the car down. Even if you are going at highway speed.

Before you replace any more parts have the battery and alternator tested. Check the battery connections as this can give the same symptoms. Also inspect all battery cables for bulges in the insulation, this means that the cable is bad and needs to be replaced.

In the case that you have added an after-market high powered stereo, make sure all amps shut off when the car is off.

I've just had the same problem with my mothers car ( 92 sentra) the problem was a failure in the fuel pump and the fuel pressure regulator, the fuel pump i got it used 3 years ago that's why it fails, but the fuel regulator fails because the mechanic in that occasion modified so with make more pressure because the used fuel pump.

to solve this i have to replace both parts for brand new and original NISSAN from JAPAN for a better performance, is not cheap, but is a delicate part.

first thing i would do is put more than i gallon of gas in it. then i would see how long it runs while in park, not driving. if it stays running then start moving cables and wires around to see if you have a loose one that would cause it to die if it moved, like it would if you were driving. or your fuel pump may be weak or need a new screen. you could also have an air intake leak in the hose or around the throttle body or the intake manafold. listen for any hissing sounds.

it would sure help to know a little more about the car...I have seen on Grand-Ams the sensor that locks up the converter go bad causing it to lock up at low RPM and kill the engine after sitting a few minutes it would start and run fine until it did it again

Probably you need to send it for tuning, or it could be no charging,
is better to get a mec. to check for you.

Yeah, a lot more info needed.
Possibly your ignition is off timing?
