my copusin just got a fender for about 200 dollars. Its a whole package with amps and a case and everything i think...Fender is a pretty well known name in guitars and they are okay begginers....I play acoustic so im not 100% sure though. Go to a locally owned music store and ask the owner/clerk...you might have to pay a littler more but its worth it for service. They can answer any questions and tell you which brands are the best. Just remeber when it comes to instruments...you get what you pay for. A better high quality instrument wil make you a better musician good luck!!!!!

Get a Mexican made Fender. They're cheaper than American made because they built a factory in Mexico and it's still a Fender. Please don't pay anything for a Squire unless you're planning to destroy it on-stage.
