If someone likes it and displays it then it is a piece of art to them. i would say almost anything could be art... just depends on the person and their taste.

This has been asked here many times before. A recent example:

My answer, now as then, is that the "art-ness" of any particular object is determined by context. You'll find that this is pretty much the accepted critical consensus among people who actually know what they're talking about. "Art" is an incredibly vague word, and it can be applied to literally anything; so a work of art is anything to which the word "art" has been applied.
Asking the question "what makes a work of art good?" is much more complicated.

Ultimately, it's the eye of the beholder that determines a work as an art piece. You like it, I don't like it at all. I love it but you hate it altogether. Most important of all is a "heart that appreciates" is necessary to make something a work of art.

art is in the eye of the beholder. a person can cut up a couch and call it art. i guess you just have to create something you like, and maybe others will appreciate it as well...

someone PERCIEVES it as a piece of art. i guess it has to be the RIGHT SOMEONE, but that is pretty much all it takes.
i mean you or i may not necessarily see it as art but if that one someone else does, then it will be deemed art.
