My friend doesn't remember the passcode either, what do I do?

They don't remember setting the code, it's not 0000, and as far as parents setting it, hehe, we are all in our 20's

Try 0000, its likely that if they were just passing through they could have chosen the quickest code they could make which would be 0000. If they were just passing though the setup it might explain why they don't remember.

If that persons parents haven't set it, than the code is probablly 0000. That is what mine was, and we didn't set it.

7444 will reset it than u will have 2 pick 1

well mine was set when i got and this may sound dumb but it was 1234 and sometime they set codes by even numbers

take it to gamestop mabye they could fix it
