OK, I have this guy friend. He has always been just a friend. Well, I am starting skool back soon and we are having our first varsity Football game and dance that night. He asked me to go with him as his date. I said i would hang with him, but i dont wanna look like im already with someone! I want to be free to dance with anyone. plus this summer he has started really really liking me. I feel weird around him now. What should i do? Go with him or rethink my answer?

Make sure its clear to him that you are going to friends and you're not interested in being more than that, it may hurt him but if you lead him on and he thinks there's a possibility for more, that will hurt worse.

you have alredy said yes so i think you should go with him .however, i also think you should make it clear that you only want to be his friend whether thats through hints (like telling him you have your eyes on ta certain guy and you hope he's going to be at the dance because you like him) or if he needs to be told directly that you only want to be friends in order to get the message. try to keep him as a friend if you can so be aware of his feelings when you let him down. good luck.

go with him as a friend, and make sure he knows. later on during the night, send him for drinks to let other guys know that you are totally available. or just jump onto the dance floor without him!

i think you should rethink your answer. just saying yes to him even though you said you dont wanna look like your with someone, he will take it as this is his chance with you. and that you wouldnt say yes to him if you didnt like him. the night of the dance, he will be stuck to you like glue. let him down easy and just say you will meet up with him, but not go with him.

Just tell him up front that you are happy that he asked you but that you also want to have fun and dance with others. This is your first date per se and if he understands, then he will also dance with others.

dancing use to be a free for all. anyone could ask anyone to dance i want to know when it became wrong to ask someone to dance who came with someone else. i have always loved to dance and i will ask anyone who is just sitting around if they would like to dance.

Be honest with him and let him know straight up that you only want to be his friend. He is free to dance with other people and so are you. If he can't accept that, don't go with him
