Did your doctor send you to rehab? My mom had surgery of that type on her hand and it took almost 4 months for her to get to the point she thought was better than before the surgery. She was over 70 at the time so that may affect healing time.

But my point was for you to contact the doctor and make sure they refer you to physical rehab for this because they can give you something showing you cannot return to work and they can help you heal correctly. I am not sure why doctors seem to skip this important step in recovery, but I have had surgery without it and never gotten better, in fact am on disability from surgery gone bad, so I think it should be common practice to refer to therapy.

Good Luck and God Bless.

well hoping that everything regarding the surgery is good... i might think that you have an infection... you should check it out with your doctor again and ask him about this...
