It depends on your body type. Some women don't get the 'firm' belly and some women look as if they may 'pop' if they move wrong. As you near the end you of your pregnancy, you may firm up. Agian, it depends on your body type.

Every woman is different, but I think this sounds perfectly normal. The best tidbit I've learned is that you gain weight when pregnant similar to how you gain weight otherwise. If you struggle with a "soft" tummy, your tummy will stay soft until the last month or two.

The plus side- that "firm" stomach is a sign of skin stretching, which causes stretch marks. Why do you think Hollywood women schedule their C-sections as early before the due date as their doctor will let them?

And, take it from me, you really will lose it. Don't worry, just enjoy what you can these last few weeks and you'll have a healthy happy baby.

Congratulations!!

Every pregnancy is different. With my first child, I had the same problem. Looked heavy and worried constantly that my baby was growing okay. With my second, I looked like I was trying to shoplift a watermelon. Dont worry about it. You know that there is a baby in there and that is all that matters.

If you were overweight before becoming pregnant, your stomach might not feel firm. Also, if it's your first pregnancy, you won't show as much as you will with your later pregnancies.

It is very normal if you have gained too much weight during your pregnancy OR if you were overweight before you started your pregnancy. That WILL change in a few weeks and you WILL notice it.
