8.7*10^14/2.3*10^6 can be written as
(8.7/2.3)*(10^14)/(10^6)
The first fraction is just
8.7/2.3 = 3.783 (rounded to 3 places)
To evaluate the 2'nd fraction, use laws of exponents to get
(10^14)/(10^6) = 10^(14-6) = 10^8
and the final answer is
3.783*10^8
