Im 14 now, and lately we've been looking for a house to move into, cause we cant possibly stay where we are now (many reasons) abd im just fed up with this cycle of my parents not having money, and having to get things that normally ppl in Canada in this area, and lifestyle (and time) dont have to. I swear I think i'm the only perrson i know that lives like this in this kind of situation. I mean im not some ignorant child who just wants to be rich, and i know life doesnt go how you want it to all the time, and ppl in other parts of the world are living with and in worse conditions, but it just seems that we've ALWAYS have struggled with money since we came to Canada, and things always seem to work out for other ppl close to us, but never us. I know i should be grateful, and god works in mysterious ways, but when are WE gonna get a break???

I was the same way, grew up without much thanks to my parents and their bad spending habits. The best thing you can do is go to school, get good grades and apply for aid at a good college. Work hard and earn your education, get a good job and NEVER LOOK BACK! That's what I had to do! It sucks now, but you can get through! Keep your head up!

I grew up much that same way. The best thing for you to do is to study carefully ways to succeed for yourself and create luck for yourself as an adult. Pay attention to details, and try to execute any tasks you have extremely well.

Meanwhile, you can have fun with your situation. Songs to play are 'Our Day Will Come' by Ruby and the Romantics, and a good movie is 'Anywhere But Here' with Natalie Portman. If you can laugh at parts of your situation instead of turning it into a reason to be a drama queen, it will be a lot easier.

You're not bad off at all, because you've got an entire lifetime ahead of you where you can call the shots and make the decisions. Use this time to figure out how to make good ones!

Your parents not having money is their problem. Take the experience to learn all you can about what not to do when you get older so you will have money. The hunger to have will drive you to succeed and have more just make sure you don't get lazy and try to take from others. Take your lumps, learn all you can and be patient. It will pay off but not until you are an adult and it should never be at the expense of others. In the meantime work on your own self image, personal style and find other interests besides your parent's finances.

Rather than indulge in a pity party, why not go out and do something nice for someone else? You may not have as much as you would like, but many folks have far less than you do. There are folks who don't have computers, there are folks who have no parents, no roof over their heads at all... money will not solve what is wrong with your family, you can be a help to others and your actions will be their own reward, or have your pity party. The choice is yours.

I think most of us have been there and understand what your going through.I`ve said a prayer for you and I hope things get better. But a thought I want to leave with you,If you have a family that loves and cares for you and you all pull to gether, then you have riches a lot of rich people would love to have.Love and family are the most important things in our lives.Material things loose their luster after awhile and get old and wore out.Hard times seem to go on and on sometimes ,but keep looking for the light at the end of the tunnel,it will get better.
