I've been looking at what some people think Extra-terrestrials would look like. But I have to think, is it really possible to imagine, realistically, an alien species? To think they would be made of the same elements is, of course the obvious topic, but is it very plausible that any other organism would evolve or develope in any way like Earth's? Things like DNA, Cellular resperation, Cells themselves, Photosynthisis(sp?), and many other things we use to recognize what organisms are. So yes, this is less a question and more of a spring-board for disscusion.

Everything we think we know about aliens, is without a doubt wrong, it is all speculation, and until we can find a specimen, we will not know for sure. but it is kind of exciting to think about organisms that would use different means of existence, they may not use cells, or have DNA, they could have a totally different body make up.

There is a belief that the human mind can not think up a completely original thought. This means for this topic that all a human can do is base what an alien is on what he knows. That is aliens have to have some kind of DNA basis for organizing matter. Some theorists believe that instead of basing the chemistry of aliens on Carbon (which is the basis of Organic and Bio-Chemistry) that Aliens could be based on Silicon chemistry. This is plausible as Silicon is right under Carbon in the Periodic Table. This placement on the PT means that Carbon and Silicon have very similar traits. It is a plausible theory I suppose but not very likely.

If an alien was born in another solar system, they would of had very different path of evolution. But laws being what they are it could be very possible that a DNA type structure could be the basis of their organizing factor. So they are most likely based on DNA. But do they breathe the same kind of air we do and do they metabolize the elements the same way? Not very likely.

I am of the belief though that if it were possible that there are aliens they would not be like us at all. But the chances of there actually being any thing else out there I would be very surprised if we would ever come across them. For one Space is just too vast an expanse and the other, there is just too many variables for things to just randomly happen in the right way to create life.

Skeptics who sneer at the idea of close encounters of any kind would never accept the advent of alien visitors. However, that doesn't mean they do not exist. There have been many documented encounters that would stand up as evidence in court if one used a legal measure as a means of proving ET's existence. However, it really doesn't matter. I'm an old guy and was around during Project Blue Book. If I told you what I know I would have to kill you, lol. But just let me say that somethings seem to be somewhat standard in the universe. I appears bipedalism is a superior means of getting around. As is a head that can rotate, eyes that can track, and opposable thumbs. The critters that were found in New Mexico all had those features. And believe me folks, they were not dummies or weather baloons.

The military, including the Air Force, have been involved in near misses with alien aircraft, hot pursuits when our NORAD warning system was breached and we scrambled the fighter jets to intercept and challenge them. Once back in the early sixties we thought the Soviets had encroached on our air space (which they routinely did, as we also did theirs) but when our fighters scrambled to meet them it was a squadron of ETs that took off like bats out of hell and at mach 2 or 3 made a 90 degree turn and zoomed off into the stratosphere.

What you really want to know is do they look like us. The answer is yes and no. They have bodies, arms and legs, heads and faces, fingers with little suction cups on them, and enormous eyes. And about now you all think the guys in white coats should come and take me away, and they just may do that some day. However, until then I will tell anyone who will listen that the preponderance of evidence indicates we are not alone.

there are many planets in the universe. I would think there is life on some of these planets. If we can't get to their planet, then maybe they're not smart enough to get to ours either. Or maybe we're the aliens living in a little fish bowl being observed by a much smarter species. Think about it for a minute. It took a very intelligent species to create our complicated bodies. Gheez God is smart isn't he!!!!!!
