And I have the same problem with mine .... I think we have identified something here ....

I have a Sony VAIO Laptop for the last 3 years and it has never stopped sounds.

if the 3 of you have the same problem,most probably a driver issue.try to check for a newer version in sony website.

my hp laptop did that once.... I finally re-installed the sound drive thing. The sound drive program was included on one of those cd's that come with the computer. The sound worked fine again and it has given me no problems since.

i have the same problem with mine! i thought it was just cause the file was taking long to load and buffer..?
