I live in upstate New York. We had some bad winds a while back and my home was damaged. I am asking for help to repair this problem. As it is allowing mold spors to grow in the walls. I have young children and I know that it is not good for them. As a single parent, who works two jobs, I am doing my best but not getting anywhere. Anything would be appreciated. Thanks for reading...

Church groups are a great way of finding a shoulder to cry on even if your not a member. Also ask the county for assistance, community service is often given to minor law violators and they can assign individuals under court supervision to assist you. If I lived close by I would help because I am unemployed, try asking the unemployment office for names of idle workers and ask them for advice and assistance, you'll be suprised at the positive response you will recieve....good luck now and in the future.

So do you want people to come fix your house for you or send you money?

You should contact the builders in your area and ask if any of them would be willing to help you. Maybe you could contact the corporate office of Home Depot or Lowes and ask if they would be willing to donate materials and then try to get the people in your community to help with the labor. Call your local news and see if they would be willing to do a quick story about your problem, etc.

you may call your insurance enterprise and ask, yet plumbing subjects are often no longer lined. and that they'll in all probability inform you that the damages to subfloor and mildew are the direct results of the plumbing no longer being fixed in a well timed way. those issues do no longer ensue in one day; they ensue over the path of weeks or months of overlook.
