What is your oppinion on Davy Jones?

Question

My comrads and I are debating over Davy Jones and need outside opinions if you please. Do you think he's evil and want him to lose? Do you want his heart distroyed? Or do you feel kinda sorry for him considering what happened to him? Do you believe that none is born evil and that they are tortured by past events? Or do you find it hard to feel compassionate toward someone so "bizaare looking"? We already have our oppinions but we'd sure appreciate knowing what you "Pirates" fans think. Thank you. :) (Personally Davy Jones and Barbossa are my top two favs)

I feel really sorry for Davy Jones, I won't lie.
Without meaning to, I burst into tears the secondtime I saw the movie; when he's playing the organ, because I then knew what it ment. Plus I spotted tears in his eyes when Jask mentioned will being in love and engaged. I know it sounds weird but I have a big heart and feel sorry for everyone. I think that if Davy Jones must die, so be it, but I would a least like some sort of confrontation between him and the woman who broke his heart. (Many people don't realize it, but heartbreak is one of the worst things that can happen to anybody. It truely is.)

I agree with you. I really thought they were going to elaborate on Davey Jones' heartbreak story in the movie. It would have been neat to see flash backs of Davey Jones' life to know exactly how he became the creature he is now. Like Will's father, I would like to think Davey and the rest of the crew didn't always look so bizarre, but they deteriorated over time in The Locker.

Maybe something good will come of having his bitter heart destroyed, but I think the next movie will show it being used for manipulation more than anything else.

I don't like him because even if he was done wrong, it doesn't matter. Let It Go! He's holding innocent people on his ship, bound to be a crewmember for like hundreds of years, and he kills innocent people. i just think he's devious. I mean yeah you might want some revenge, but seriously he has taken it to the extreme. I mean if everyone who got a broken heart acted as he does, we'd all be dead or tortured. Get my point? Yeah, he is very Bizzare looking, but looks don't sway my opinion. Seriously though he needs to take a chill pill. It's like he's obsessed with this crazy revenge and he can't stop even though it won't fix anything.

I think Davey Jones is not only talented but a legendary performer. He is a national Treasure not only to the United States but also to the U.K. as well. I have always been a big fan of not just Mr. Jones himself but of all the Monkeys.

Tough question!!! I don't know how I fell about Davey Jones but I sure din't want the commador to be the one to profit over this. But Jack was kind of in this for his own skin but that is just how Captain jack is. I await the next movie.

i have a soft spot for jack and i want him to succeed. for jack to succeed Davey Jones heart must be destroyed. i do believe people are born evil in movies and in reality. both the pirate movies are awesome and cant wait for the third. i guess im old fashioned and i prefer to see the bad guys lose and the good guys win

I think Davy Jones rules. I mean, granted the Monkees were the first TV, put together band, but I found him funny. They wouldn't be the same without him.

Davy Jones has been wronged and seek revenge because of it.

he should be allowed to rest in peace and those whom he has under his command, just as Aragron let free the souls of those condemned people

I think he is not inherently evil, he is just doing a job given to him (it was very tragic what happened to him). I would like to see the heart destroyed so he will be fee of such a vile existence.
