a buffer is saving up some of the song ahead of time ... in case there is a lag in the connection, the music can still play.

a lot of portable cd players buffer as well so they will play even though they are bumped.

Buffering doesn't mean anything more than loading the song to a point where it's far enough so the item can be played, it just sounds like something more, but really where it only means loading :)

To give you a gist, it's basically storing some temporary data before processing it for use. This allows you, the user, to experience skip-free music assuming you have a fast enough internet connection allowing the buffer to be full at all times. Think of it like anti-skip for your computer and music.

It means ur media player or whatever program u use is loading the song
