The answer depends on what your needs are. If you are looking for the best of both worlds, I would recommend looking at smartphones from Palm, that are great phones, great Personal Digital Assistant (PDA), and are also good mp3 players.

If you can wait just a few months longer, Palm is said to release new Treo smartphones that may include built-in WiFi for Web surfing at HotSpots. If you don't care much about WiFi, I would recommend looking at the Treo now.

Well it depends on your need, if you want to listen to your music and make calls on the same thing many cell phones include a mp3 player, but your limited to the amount of storage you can have, a cell will only hold as many songs as will fit on it's type of storage device, I have a Motorola V360 and it came with a 64meg Micro SD card, the largest card I have been able to find is a 1gig, most of the good mp3 players start at 1 gig and go from there, and the iPod you can get with a 60gig hard drive, it's all preference but I would rather listen to my iPod and just pause it to answer my phone than to be limited on how many songs I can have with me.

Personally A CellPhone some cell phones can play videos and play videos of song so the cell phone rules :D

Well u can get all that in 1 with the MDA including a camera and a camcorder on the phone itz hot

if you can make calls from an MP3 players, then it will be MP3 players.
The problem is they are not comparable. It's like comparing apples and oranges.

NOKIA SUCKS undesirable!! i elect to propose Sony Ericcson! they are so nicely outfitted and the technologies and fashions do no longer seem to date as at as quickly as as different telephones, the sound high quality is impressive too. of each and every style i've got had (and that i've got had plenty) Sony Ericcsom wins hands down.

depends what you need. if you want both, there are new phones with MP3 players. try the new Nseries from nokia or the new SonyEricsson walkman phones. :-)

well considering you can get both of them in 1 at verizon pay a little more and buy one!
