I am moving into a small studio apartment all by myself soon and I want a pet for company. My complex won't let you have dogs and you have to pay way too much money to have a cat. I was thinking of getting a ferret but I hear way too many bad things about them. So I thought a Chinchilla would be my best bet. But unfortunately I know nothing about them. Please help!

Chinchilla's are active pets mostly during the night. They require a large cage. They also require bathing dust and preferably a bathing house so the dust would not spread around your apartment. They are great pets for an apartment however. They are very quiet and easy to keep. Just provide them with a good Chinchilla diet, large cage, Chinchilla wheel to run, different levels to jump since they are active and do like to jump around. If you are allergic to fur, these guys tend to shed.

Chinchillas are very cute pets. They don't smell very much and don't cost too much either. They require a large cage and lots of entertainment so if you don't have that much time, I'd say to go with a hamster. They love dust baths and you can train them to do simple tricks. They're usually nocturnal but can adapt to daytime play. They can't go with temperatures over 80 F so you need a way to keep them cool. Don't get them wet, either.

there is not any animal that you'll be able to leave on my own for most of the time and anticipate it to be pleasant and cute in direction of you. Small rodents might want to be anxious animals because they're oftentimes prey in the wild, so except you spend an excellent form of time along with your puppy on a daily basis construction believe, it really is now unlikely to carry close you or believe you. i do not mean to be unfavourable, yet I basically theory you ought to comprehend that a puppy needs interest to be pleasant. you ought to also keep in mind that any puppy might want to fee you vet expenditures in some unspecified time sooner or later. Rodents get tumors and mites more desirable many times than you would possibly want to imagine and this would fee an excellent form of money on the vets. Pets take time and artwork. they are not something basically to have each now then once you sense like it.

try http://www.mutationchinchillas.com/ it has a ton of Chinchilla care on it. They need daily dust bathes which can quickly make a mess as the dust settles all over the house.

All I know is that they're extremely cute and very soft! i love them. I know that they take baths in sand instead of water...so I think you have to have a little sand box in there for them. yeah, ferrets freak me out...they're a little crazy.
