Federal law will only do something if they have not given it to you within 10 days of the due date.Most decent places will give it to you on the spot but,I guess thats getting pretty rare.

By federal law they have three days AFTER the next scheduled pay date (not to exceed 31 days). The law in your individual state may vary.

They are suppose to give you your last check before you are out the door.
