You're bored. U need a more challenging job or just aren't looking at the clean up stuff that could be done in the last 15 minutes.

Mentally you are prepared to leave after 15 minutes, and feel hurry to leave. Therefore, the last 15 minutes looks longer. Time i pass slow in waiting.

Because you're doing it wrong.
I usually leave the most important task to the last 15 minutes, so as I finish it, it'll be time to go, and I get to do the important stuff real quickly.

the last fifteen minutes are the longest because you are always checking the time and anticipating for the time when you can clock off and leave before your boss says he can you stay longer i could use your help?

The more you want to get out, the longer it seems.
I try not to look at the clock, and be surprised.
