how do i fix a 501 error?

as i try to open an ip page my lap says 501 error i a m conected to the net via phone service 42 kbps could any one help , when i open the same ip adress via lan i have no trouble at all

You may have disconnected by accident. This is a common error, so don't worry.

check 2 things, dial up connections (Start over), laptop connections in back.
