i have LimeWire Basic, and it once said "keep the internet up, get LimeWire PRO." so can i go on the internet while a download is downloading with Basic, or will it mess the ownload up?

ok, it will slow down the downloads, does that mean it will slow the process or slow the download when i listen to it?

Yes, I'm using Limewire Basic as I type this message.
Surfing the net may slowdown your downloading speed a little bit.
It won't affect the downloaded material.

I have limewire and I use the net while downloading...works for me

no u actually have to have the internet on to download music on limewire...and if ur on the web it wont hurt it at all...trust me i have it!!
